Solangel Creations, Greetings from Cottonwood, AZ
Greetings from Cottonwood,
I was so happy to see September arrive, but alas, October arrived too and still giving us 100 degree afternoons! It's cold in the morning, and hot in the late afternoon....no, I am really not complaining.
We are having a lot of smoke as the county burns off areas that may cause wild fires. So at this time the mountains are very faint outlines or completely blocked out in some areas.
Art is still slow at this time, I have three paintings drying and one in progress. The one in progress is going to be a gift and a surprise to a very dear friend. Time passes so fast, I hope to have it done by Thanksgiving. Drawing and doodling still keeps me on tract, even when I don't have time to dig out my paint. It is crazy to know I have been painting for 63 years now. Cannot imagine life with out a little time to paint. As long as I can raise my arms, I will be painting!! It is also important to have a subject working in my brain. I am still trying to design a painting titled "Night Whispers". It may not be smart to have the title without having thought out the subject matter. I will keep doodling till I get the right scenario. I see so many beautiful paintings based on the artist's great imagination. My imagination is behind at this time.
Besides painting for the Sedona Arts Center, I am trying to show more in Cottonwood. Currently, I have four paintings on exhibit in the local Library.
I wish you all well! I would love to hear from you out there. Hearing from readers would be a lovely encouragement for me, and who knows, I may encourage you too! Be well my friends. HAVE A FUN HALLOWEEN!
