SOLANGEL CREATIONS NEWSLETTER - May/June 2017
Happy New Year!! Well, it's still a valid greeting, afterall, the year is only half over. Let's hope the second half is as great as the first half.
I'm still painting like a crazy woman! Trying to stay ahead of what might be needed to have on hand. That probably sounds overly positive. It takes oil paintings a long time to dry so I have to think ahead to have them rolling out ready to hang. It is definitely a great thing to need to have plenty on hand!
My exhibt at the Old Town Frame Company was a beautiful sight, as shown by the attached photos. We had a great turnout with lots of interest in the artwork. The display will continue into June with a final date open at this time.
I'm preparing for the Sedona Art Center's Featured Artists event for July/August/September. My pieces are being framed as we speak. I hope you will look forward to scenes from that event in July's newsletter.
As you know, I always like to comment on the wildlife in the area. While at out walking, I stopped to take a photo and turned around to see a snake laying in the center of the road. I thought it was dead, but it wasn't. I stood still, and it continued it's journey to the other side of the road. I'm pretty sure it was a King Snake, and having heard they are good to have around I wasn't afraid. I did get a couple of photos of it as it passed me. Yesterday I saw the backend of a Coyote as it briefly stopped behind a bush and scratched itself.
Wishing you all the best!
