SOLANGEL CREATIONS NEWSLETTER - October 17, 2018
Greetings to you all,
You probably know what I am going to say so I will - "OCTOBER ALREADY, BUT BUT i'M NOT READY FOR THE END OF THE YEAR TO BE SO CLOSE!!!". That is the truth too, and I know I'm not the only one thinking it.
The year has been slower than last, but I must take what comes. Afterall, if I start worrying about it, the fun will be over. Sometimes artists must remind themselves that creating art is supposed to be fun too.
I have started participating at the Sedona Art Center Gallery demos. This means setting up a still life, paints and working on a painting. At first I was a little nervous, but am now on my fourth demonstration. It turns out that people love to see what I'm doing and talking about it. It's good for me too. Forces me to be open and friendly! ha
I have been juried into the 2018 National Small Works "Lucky 13" event, sponsored by the Virgin Valley Artists Association in Mesquite, NV. If you will remember, I won Best of Show last year. Will I be lucky this year??
Preparations are under way to have a good showing at the 2018 Walkin' on Main, in Old Town Cottonwood, AZ, on November 10. It is a street event, and I'll be located under a big tent on Main Street. Not only will I be showing art, but Mom's crocheted afghans as well. She's 90, and still busy crocheting. It is a one day event, but usually fun. Bustling with people, music, food, car show, etc. The photo above is a new postcard I will distributing at the event.
As always, wishing you all the best and much happiness. Thank you for your interest in my art!
